[SPOTV News = Han Jae-hyun] Korean sports brand Nassau Co., Ltd. signed a business agreement with the Korea Padel Association (KPA), chaired by Kim Ji-yong, on the 27th to collaborate on expanding certified padel facilities and equipment in Korea.

The agreement was concluded to promote the development and activation of padel in Korea by utilizing Nassau’s expertise in sports and the official status of the Korea Padel Association. The two parties will jointly pursue air dome projects for padel courts and co-develop padel-related equipment.

Padel is a sport that combines tennis and squash. Played on a court smaller than tennis, it utilizes the walls of the court for strategic and extended rallies. Originating in Mexico, the sport has grown rapidly worldwide, especially in Europe. Padel is more accessible than tennis due to its smaller court size, and it emphasizes not only speed and physical strength but also strategic thinking. With rapid global growth in recent years, the Korea Padel Association was established to support its expansion in Korea.

Particularly with increasing climate challenges such as fine dust, heavy rain, snow, and strong winds, air dome facilities have garnered interest as they allow year-round play regardless of weather conditions. This adds to the high expectations surrounding the agreement.

Chairman Kim Ji-yong of the Korea Padel Association said, "Thank you for showing interest in padel, which is still unfamiliar in Korea. Abroad, padel is often considered second only to tennis in terms of popularity and industry scale. Although Korea entered the sport a bit late, through collaboration with Nassau, we aim not only to activate the padel discipline domestically but also to contribute to the revitalization of the sports industry as a whole."

Chairman Ju Eun Hyung of Nassau stated, "Just as Nassau has contributed to the Korean sports industry for the past 50 years, we are preparing for the next 50. We are grateful to the Korea Padel Association for giving us the opportunity to grow with padel, a global sports trend. This collaboration will help spread new sports culture and create a new sports market."
